What is the main weather feature to watch?
The live forecast above shows the key variable—whether a front, trough or ridge is controlling the sky. Look at the rainfall probability and wind speed columns: those two numbers tell you if you need an umbrella or just a light jacket. A 40% chance or higher usually means at least one shower, while sustained winds above 30 km/h warrant securing loose outdoor items.
How will temperature and UV behave?
Minimum and maximum temperatures in the live forecast give the comfort window. The UV index, if shown, peaks between 10 am and 2 pm; anything above 3 requires sun protection. Combine that with cloud cover—if the forecast indicates mostly sunny, UV will be higher even if the temperature feels mild.
Why does the live forecast sometimes change during the day?
Forecast models update every 6–12 hours as new atmospheric data arrives. The Bureau of Meteorology issues at least three official updates daily, so what you see in the morning may shift by evening.
Should I rely on the “feels like” temperature or the actual air temperature?
